Everyone has their own learning style that helps them study more effectively. Any learner could benefit in a variety of ways. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners, for example, have three distinct features.

Visual learning means they learn by reading or seeing pictures. They understand and remember things by sight. Visual learner can picture what they are learning in their head and they learn best by using this methods that are primarily visual.

Auditory learning refers to a student’s ability to learn best by listening. They would rather listen to a lecture than read a textbook, or hear project directions rather than working it out on their own. A visual learner, for example, would want to see an illustration of the project, but an auditory learner will prefer to hear about it.

Kinesthetic learning happens when we have a hands-on experience. A kinesthetic learner requires a multi-sensory learning environment for deep learning since they learn by doing. A kinesthetic learner is someone who requires active participation in their studies. They are ‘tactile’ learners who retain and recall information through movement, testing, trial and error, and a non-traditional learning environment.

Here are some tests to help you discover out what type of learner you are. After taking this exam, I discovered that I am a visual learner who prefers visual to aural and tactile. And for that, I’ve prepared some tactics, such as making flashcards and taking notes by writing down what you hear or underlining what you read. I have figured out mine, how about you?
